Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 30, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how RestaurantRadar handles information. RestaurantRadar is operated by Marks Ventures, LLC, doing business as RestaurantRadar ("we," "us," "our"). By using the Service or contacting us, you agree to this Policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide when you reach out to us or subscribe, which may include your name, business name, email address, phone number, and service-area details. If our website uses standard analytics, we may also collect basic technical information such as pages visited and general device or browser data. We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information to provide and operate the Service, to communicate with you (including sending alerts and account or support messages), to process billing, and to improve the Service. We may also use it to comply with legal obligations and to protect our rights.
3. Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe, our third-party payment processor. We do not collect or store full payment card numbers. Your payment information is handled by Stripe under its own terms and privacy policy, available at stripe.com/privacy.
4. About the Restaurant and License Data
The restaurant and license information surfaced within the Service comes from public City of Chicago government records. It is public record data, not personal information we collect from the restaurants or their owners, and it is provided for the informational purpose of the Service.
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate the Service (for example, our payment processor and hosting or analytics providers), and only as needed for them to perform those services, or when required by law.
6. Data Retention
We retain the information we collect for as long as needed to provide the Service, to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.
7. Your Choices
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you by contacting us at the address below. You may also unsubscribe from non-essential communications at any time. We will respond to reasonable requests as required by applicable law.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date above. Your continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
10. Contact
